When I was working, I traveled often to visit the teams I supported across the country. I traveled with the same small group of people each time so we got to know each other fairly well. We were a divided camp when it came to cookies. We had the soft cookie lovers and the crunchy cookie lovers and we would discuss why our chosen cookie was the best.
I am a soft cookie lover and this is my very favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. It is my go to recipe if I need to bring a dessert somewhere. I’ll make a double batch and freeze half into cookie dough balls for a quick sweet treat after dinner.
Today seemed like such a great day to whip up a batch of cookies. It’s been a mild winter for Minnesota this year and the ground has been free of snow for the last few weeks. We even had a few sunny days in the high 60’s. It has been wonderful! Just as my heart was getting excited for spring, we woke up to a winter wonderland.
Although I was a little disappointed that spring was on hold, I am always amazed at the beauty after snow fall. Every tree branch lined with beautiful, clean, white snow, the backyard was so peaceful. A cold snowy day is just perfect for warm chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate or tea!
