I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’ve been battling a cold the last few days so we enjoyed a quiet day at home, relaxing, and watching the first snow of the season fall. We cooked a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for the 3.5 of us and I am now enjoying leftovers. We have spent the last few Thanksgiving holidays with either family or friends and Id forgotten how great it is to have days of leftovers in the fridge…. Turkey and rice soup is in my near future.
A quick baby update:
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers! This last Tuesday we passed 34 weeks. The daily medication is controlling my contractions and my weekly midwife visits have gone well! I’ve become more at ease with each passing week knowing we are getting closer to my due date and further away from a potential NICU stay.
We scheduled family pictures the afternoon I ended up in the hospital. Our photographer K.L Leaman Photography was so understanding and found time for us the following weekend. I had our outfits planned, props gathered, pups groomed and ready to capture our next happy family, all smiles Christmas card…….said the mom of the screaming, crying, tantrum throwing toddler. Kari was absolutely great and managed to snap a few great pictures during the 5 minutes Little J wasn’t screaming (seriously, it was 5 total minutes).
The other 40 minutes looked like this..
We loaded everyone and everything back in the car and Little J was all smiles and happy on the drive home. Oh, precious little ones… how you teach us parents patience, how you ground us back down. I look at our pictures and smile…. they tell the real story of life with little ones.
