Happy Friday! I hope you had a wonderful week and are getting ready to enjoy the weekend. It has been a busy few weeks around our home with a few big changes for our family. The biggest change started three weeks ago when I accepted a new part time job! I am wrapping up my first few weeks of my new role and have really enjoyed getting to focus on my passion for employee development, process creation, coaching, and all things Human Resources.
I am working three days a week which it a big adjustment from being home most of the time but feels like a good balance long term. I feel incredibly blessed to get the best of both worlds. Being a full time stay at home mom, or a full time working mom are both incredibly challenging in their own way, (I know! I’ve done both!) This new schedule is a bit of an adjustment, but I am so grateful to have found a company that supports roles for moms to have flexibility and work part time!
Our other big change came in the form of a big boy bed for J! Look at that proud little guy…. he was so excited to graduate from his toddler bed to big boy bed.
We moved out the crib/converted toddler bed and moved in the big boy bed. Baby G. is still sleeping in our room for a few more weeks while we covert our guest bedroom to J’s new room. This will be the room the boys will eventually share. We will bring the crib back out and move G. into the nursery in September. Guykey (Grandma) and PopPop will be visiting next week and using our guest room one last time before its taken over by J.
I got a great deal on the bed frame! I was looking for matching twin bed frames and found this pair for $40 on Craigslist! I am debating refinishing and keeping a natural wood color or painting them white. Thoughts?
Eventually both beds with matching quits will be in a larger room the boys will share. I just love the Americana theme and will be keeping it for their new room.
Enjoy your weekend! We will be pouring cement (a first for us). Say a prayer all things go smoothly… hopefully I’ll be posting sun room reveal pictures soon, or the hubby jack hammering concrete (hah!)
