Hey There! I’m Michelle and I’m married to Josh. We have been married for just about 8 years and have three boys, Jackson (4), Gage (2), and Owen (6 months). I put my faith in Jesus and saved by his perfect grace. I hope that we can share life together. The real stuff.
I love pretty DIY crafts, organized spaces, home cooked meals, and children that sit perfectly for family pictures. (Hah! Now that’s funny!) I embrace the not-so-perfect, while striving to find a balance between organization and chaos, home cooked meals and frozen pizza, DIY wins and Pinterest fails.
I wish we were sitting on the patio together (in summer, because it’s a bit cold here in the winter), enjoying a cup or coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Sharing the moments of the day, the “you won’t believe what my 2-year-old did with the permanent marker” moments, the “let’s stop and pray for grace and patience” moments, the “this is really hard momma, but you ARE good enough” moments.
Grab a comfy seat and a beverage. Let’s get to know each other. This is my family, would ya know their were tears and yelling just 2.5 seconds before this picture was taken when Gage smacked baby Owen across the face while climbing over his big brother.
Anyway, I was born and raised in Southern California. I attended Azusa Pacific University, an amazing Christian school. I put my faith in Jesus and couldn’t imagine living in this world without his abundance love and grace. I met my husband Josh through mutual friends our sophomore year. We attended different schools, dated in college, broke up and went our separate ways after graduation (don’t worry the story doesn’t end there).
I started working for a large retail corporation, found a passion for the field of Human Resources, while working went back to Azusa Pacific for my Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development. Crossed paths with that college boyfriend while visiting his parents (it’s a long story), we started dating again and two years later got married.
In 2012 we jumped on the opportunity to move to Minnesota and explore a new state. In 2013 we stumbled upon a 1950’s fixer upper in a quaint little town west of Minneapolis and decided to put down roots. After my firstborn turned one, I made the difficult decision to leave my full-time career for something that would allow me to prioritize my growing family. I now work part-time supporting small companies with their HR needs. I feel incredibly blessed to get to spend time in the home with my kids while still staying plugged into my professional field.
Three boys and two dogs later, we have a full house!
I started this little blog back in 2014. It was something I had wanted to do for awhile but hadn’t found the courage, time, content (continue endless excuses). You can find me picking up smashed crackers off my floor or on Facebook, or Instagram.
Let’s stay in touch!
